Òrìṣà Òkè simply refers to "Òrìṣà" - a deified spirit dwelling inside the mountains, hills and or rocks; and is being offered worship in Yorùbáland.

This Irúnmọlẹ̀ manifested, severally; Òrìṣà Òkè includes the ever popular Òkè Ìbàdàn, Òkè Ẹ̀rùgù now known as "Ọlọ́run kọ́lé" located also in Ìbàdàn land, the famous Òkè Olúmọ in Abẹ́òkúta, Òkè Ṣọ́rọ́ in Ọ̀yọ́ Aláàfin, Òkè Ọbamoró and Òkè Akù both in Ìwo axis in Ọ̀sun State, Òkè Ìdànre located in Ondo State, Ọlọ́ṣunta in Ìkẹ́rẹ́ Èkìtì and Àṣabàrí / Lóogun in Ṣakí, and Òkè Ìgbẹ́tì; and several others.

It's very important to note here, that just like in the case of Ìrókò tree; that not all Ìrókò trees harbours "Olúwéré" spirit; that, it is not all mountains, hills and or rocks that harbours the Irúnmọlẹ̀ (the spirit) known as Òrìṣà Òkè. 

Categorically and assertively, Olódùmarè, the Supreme Creator and the Idea Force is Not Òrìṣà Òkè and that Òrìṣà Òkè is actually an Irúnmọlẹ̀.

There is a popular saying: "Àbá tí alágẹmọ bá dá ni Òrìṣà Òkè ń gbà"; and that Òrìṣà Òkè been referred to here is actually Òrìṣà Ńlá / Ọ̀batálá; and we Yorùbás most often regarded and worshiped both Òrìṣà Òkè and Òrìṣà Ńlá as one; in togetherness.

Òkè Agidan located in Ìṣàlẹ̀ Ọ̀yọ́, Ọ̀yọ́ Aláàfin, Òkè Ìgẹ̀tí and Òkè Ìtaṣẹ̀ (both located in the ancient city of Ilé Ifẹ̀) actually belongs to Ọ̀rúnmìlà Baraà mi Àgbọnnìrègún. They all serve as his abode!
